A fabulous butcher (unless you are vegetarians), the greengrocer has locally sourced fruit & vegetables, a couple of little grocery stores, bakers, tabacs & a farmacia & a few bars/restaurants... There is also an English speaking doctor, dentists & Amazon/deliveries can be delivered to the local petrol station. It is a beautiful area to live & there is a small ex-Pat community in the area - if you want to join in.
It is very Spanish & the opening hours are typically Spanish & they close for siesta & don't open again until about 8pm, but the supermarkets are open until about 9pm, but closed on Sunday's & bank holidays...

There are wild water rivers to swim in, lakes, waterfalls & beautiful scenery about 15minutes inland from Xàtiva, plus so many interesting places to visit.

When you first come to Pla de Corrals you could mistake it as a sleepy little village in the middle of nowhere with nothing to do! Wrong!

The village has its main fiesta around the end of August & it lasts for 4days & nights! There is a stage & numerous bands & families travel for miles to come & enjoy the festivities! There is always something being celebrated & the village embraces family time. The surrounding villages also celebrate various traditional Spanish fiesta namely the Moors & Christians in July which will bring a tear to you eye.

Pla de Corrals is situated 20/25 minutes inland from Gandia with it's shopping, numerous bars / restaurants / cafes, historic buildings, numerous blue flag beaches & even it's own palace! From the port in two & a half hours you can be in Ibiza, Majorca & or Menorca! The local village of Barxeta is 3km away & has local shops such as a butchers, greengrocers, banks, pharmacy, bars / cafes, a small supermarket & a small local market. This is also the where you will find the nearest infant / junior schools & then to Xativa for their teenage education. Simat de la Valldigna is 8km away & the road down has some of the most amazing views of the valley you could wish for. 15minutes from the village you will also find La Galliana Golf Club,

The larger historic town of Xativa is 15 minutes away with all the shops etc that you would expect from a larger Spanish working town, buzzing nightlife, numerous banks, shops, supermarkets even including it's own castle! There is also a train station where you can be in Valencia in 30minutes for the cost of about € 9 for a day return. There is also the British school here if you needed one. Just 15 minutes inland from Xativa you will find the lovely lakes & waterfalls in Anna & Chella for those not wanting the beaches if not the beaches of Tavernes are 20minutes by car & the water park in Cullera is 35 minutes away...
